The thing that I find amazing is how personal this message is! There is little use of the corporate “we” in this message. This is not the board of Microsoft writing a polite thanks for nothing to the board and shareholders of Yahoo! Instead, this is a very personal kiss-off memo from one pissed-off boss to his old chum Jerry. Thanks for the interpretation.
