Brad spoke about not hiring executives from the acquisition company, or from outside the company. Am I understanding this correctly? He was brought into Yahoo as an acquisition of Dialpad as an executive. He was also brought into dialpad as an outsider executive. What is he preaching? He should eat his own peanut butter sandwich.

Also should note that under his watch of dialpad, the company went bankrupt.

And he had a powerful position at Yahoo, yet he has all this insights or revelations. And did not act or use his power or influence to move Yahoo correctly.

I am not sure if all the trust in Brad is properly placed.

This Brad guy spoke about not hiring executives from outside the company -- yet he was hired into Yahoo as an outsider. The same case when he was hired into Dialpad. What is this guy talking about?

And if he is so intelligent, why couldnt he fix the problems at Dialpad which went bankrupt and at Yahoo where he was an executive vice president -- a very powerful position.

OT...Kara, once again, great analysis on tech ticker!! You are ahead of everyone on this yahoo situation.

The arguments that yahoo has deteriorated in the last 3 months don't hold water with me. How much more deteriorated than when it hit $19 on the last day of Jan. and headed who knows where if msft doesn't make their bid public.

People keep saying how Icahn lost and he's going to bail because he got in over his head with this, msft no longer want yahoo and that's Icahn's only plan and msft holds all the cards.
Another flawed argument, Icahn will not back out and ruin his reputation. He will never get backing again in his next moves. Unlike msft, he shoots to kill. Msft, like you said, does not have it in their DNA to make big purchases, and they are messing this thing up bad.

The shareholders are ready to back Icahn's slate and put 'capable and experienced management in place'. Msft can try and beat us down all they want were not letting go for anything less than $33. We'll take our chances with new management in place. Yahoo is a dormant giant.

One of Legg Mason's managers says he wants to know who Icahn and his board (which I think is very capable of choosing the right person) will choose to make up his mind on his vote. Problem is if those candidates have current obligations with other entities they cannot be mentioned until the new board is voted in and the position guaranteed.

With yhoo's current depressed prices, I think they'll be a big line of capable ppl ready to take the opportunity to turn it around.
