They have got to be kidding! How does this "communicate the MSFT-Vista" message? THe day that Gates figures out that the reason Vista and MSFT have such a lousy image and reputation, is because every piece of software they sell is riddled with bugs, open to hacks, LESS than user friendly, causes other software to crash after every MSFT "update", AND corrects those problems, THAT will be the day MSFT will be reborn. When will the guys in Redmond lean that stupid ads don't make things better but great products do.

What am I missing? Seinfeld famously had the show about nothing, and now he has a commercial about nothing. What is it even about? Bill Gates is an old, doddering fool? A cheapskate who carries a wacky ID of himself so he can get discount shoes?
I was expecting some shots back at Apple, to answer the "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" commercials. Instead, it's a bunch of mildly amusing -- on some planet -- irrelevancies. Okay, it's "branding," but is there a single individual on the planet who doesn't know the Microsoft brand? Bill doesn't run things anymore.
I just don't know what they were thinking. I think the silly people at Microsoft who think they "shouldn't bring attention" to their rivals have won one more round.
Microsoft always looks, when doing "whimsy," like an elephant in a tutu.
