Why catch a falling knife? With online advertising struggling and no catalyst on the horizon, there's no reason to hurry for MSFT to act. There should be plenty of time to mull it over, at least into Q109, with the real possibility that Y! will be in an even weaker position. To quote Robert Duvall's character from "Colors": There's two bulls standing on top of a mountain. The younger one says to the older one: "Hey pop, let's say we run down there and f*** one of them cows". The older one says: "No son. Lets walk down and f*** 'em all".

YHOO Shareholders need a bailout. With just a little less than a 50% premium, the whole diseased corpse can be had for around $30 billion. That's only $5B more than the automakers got.

Let's have another bailout!

[Yodel not used due to cutbacks.]

Astonishing. At that price, someone will bid on YHOO - but no where near the previous $33. Maybe a company in China or India? Reliance?
