Yahoo started as human directory, as did About.com (originally Internet Mining Co.). Even GNN did it, and DMOZ. So Mahalo is nothing new and solves no problems. It's lucky to have raised $20 million but I have to question its venture backers' savvy for investing in a me-too, also-ran, never will. well, the bottom line is that we don’t NEED a Mahalo, it solves no problems and has been done before. Yahoo started as human directory, as did About.com (originally Internet Mining Co.). Even GNN did it, and DMOZ.

So Mahalo is nothing new and solves no problems. It’s lucky to have raised $20 million but I have to question its venture backers’ savvy for investing in a me-too, also-ran, never will.
