The biggest problem I have with this memo is that it came just about a year too late. Had that memo been dated 2008 instead of 2009 the MSFT deal would probably have gone through and the shareholders would have split up nearly 50 billion dollars. Instead we’re stuck at about a $16b market cap, we’ve wasted a year and miraculously Sue & co. spent over 72 million dollars on advisors to keep the 50 billion out of our hands. So as Yang likes to say “they accomplished most, if not all, that they set out to do” It’s a classy memo but it’s a year too late.
