I'll echo the sentiment regarding Mr. Bostock and others at YHOO who should have paid with their jobs, and possibly careers, for the shareholder value that they have been frittering away.

That said, way to walk the fine line Kara ! Ms. Decker will inevitably show up somewhere else and she will surely remember that last nice thing you said about her. You keep your C-level exec club all-access pass !

Although as I remember it: "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" - not "say something nice anyway" ...

Both Roy & Sue ( and Yang for the matter ) should have long ago resigned, like right before they blew the MSFT deal. But to give Sue credit for resigning right away is to ignore the fact that all 3 of them long overstayed their welcome and cost us billions.

I'm sorry. Did I read that right? I guess you read my postings finally calling for the board to get out of the way.

Sue was right to resign. If she didn't, she probably would have been fired. Bartz knows probably a bit about what she's going into as far as the nest goes.

What she should do though is relieve YANG and FILO of their 'Chief Yahoo' status and ask them to leave as well. If they want to be advisors to the CEO from an external capacity fine, but not internally. If she needs them back on board, they can be consultants or since they take $1 per year in salary, they can do it gratis.

Next concentrate on 'licensing' opportunities with various companies for some key technologies that Yahoo has in order to bolster the financial position of the company and assure shareholders that there's some kind of a plan. She's also going to want to go outside and corral an advisory team who can help her grasp the technology base at this company and figure out strengths and weaknesses, reevaluate all internal positions, and then decide where the cuts should be.

Lot of work and I wish her well.
