yahoo needs to clean out the modly upper rungs of the ladder...

the major problem is many of these execs are not cutting edge thinkers

bloated bureaucracy will continue to overwhelm yahoo unless bartz really dismisses most of the current sr. execs. and many jr. ones also...

there are product managers at yahoo who are more intent on protecting their turf than generating a profit

these surfdoms need to be cleaned out, starting with yahoo finance, yahoo shopping, yahoo autos, etc.

It's hard to have high hopes for a company that has been broken for so long.

I'm pretty sure the reference to peanut butter recall though has more to do with the company in Georgia who has poisoned hundreds of people with Salmonella due to their totally unsanitary production facilities, causing individual and retailers to have to throw away millions in inventory and driving the company itself into bankruptcy.

That is of course not to say that Yahoo has actually poisoned anybody (yet), although my browser does tend to choke on ad-bloated Yahoo pages.
