President Obama’s Online Town Hall Now Open for Questions on the Economy (Answers–If There Are Any–On Thursday!)

th2

WhiteHouse.gov just opened for questions for a “community-moderated online town hall,” setting up for a Web appearance by President Barack Obama on Thursday.

According to the site, anyone can:

“Submit your own question about the economy and vote on submissions from others. We also encourage you to include a link to a video of yourself asking your question, but text submissions are all you need. Come back on Thursday to watch the President answer some of the most popular submissions live at WhiteHouse.gov.”

The site has held similar online events twice in the transition period, but questions were then answered by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs and not Obama.

This time, it will be the President, taking questions picked from those voted most popular.

The site is using Google (GOOG) Moderator technology, although there is no branding of it, as well as Google-owned YouTube for the video from Obama posted below.

  1. Everyone is talking ression, ression, ression. I feel a way the government gould save millions, and billions of dollars is to start doing durg screenings on ALL parties whom recieve food stamps,SSI,welfare, or any government, or state funded FREE asistance. It is manditory for us in the working class to do durg screening prior to and randemnly for employment, why should it not be manditory for these parties to be required to do the same and be penilized for turning up hot on such test? does it not make sence and do the gov. officials not know, or realise how much free money could go back into our econmies bail out plans and for those of us who do work, to support druging and drinking on out tax paying dollars, at no cost or effort on their free hand-outs. I feel there should be a bill past to reflect some kind of more servier stipulations on free hand-outs and those proven to have LESS THAN HONOEABLE INTENTIONS for the free assistance be punished for their deciet and fraudlagent hand-out. I hope that I am not yhe only one who has enough brains to figure out such a simple solution to an ongoing problem. And that yhe government will consider making this into some kind of LAW. One might be surprised at how fast the ression will end and the millions and trillions of dollars that will be put back into the econimy where it needs to be
