Homosexuals and their allies have made the assertion that “gay marriage” doesn’t have any effect on people who don’t agree with it. That was the point of mocking the Gathering Storm” video.

But it does have many effects:

Children in families that believe homosexuality is wrong are indoctrinated by the schools to approve of it and to redefine traditional morality as bigotry.

Businesses with moral objections are forced by the government to provide wedding services that go against their conscience.

Doctors are forced by the government to provide in vitro fertilization for relationships that they believe would be harmful to the raising of children.

There is a climate of hate and thuggery engendered on the left: Pastors have been threatened; speaking out in public against gay marriage has resulted in people losing their jobs; Individuals and businesses are being targeted for harassment by Prop 8 opponents; parts of the Bible have been treated as hate speech by the government in states with gay marriage.

Billboards have been taken down by government decree; peaceful protesters have been arrested for “hate crime.” Even beauty queens have had their crowns snatched off their heads.

You can disagree with (or mock) any of these conflicts that arise from providing a place in civil law for gay marriage, but you can’t say they aren’t happening. But, of course, that is exactly what proponents continue to say anyway.

The fact is, legal scholars who SUPPORT homosexual ‘marriage’ ADMIT that religious freedom and free speech will be severely inhibited where homosexual ‘marriage’ becomes the law of the land. They simply accept these outcomes as a desirable trade-off.

But WE don’t have to, yet….
