Parsing the Legal Tantrums of Zennström and Friis

Is it just me or is it completely ironic that a pair of European entrepreneurs kept out of the United States due to tantrum lawsuits from the music industry are stamping their own legal feet like two ill-tempered toddlers of late?

That would be Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis, who today filed yet another lawsuit in their seemingly never-ending quest to win in court what they couldn’t in business dealmaking.

And I Thought My Kid Was an iPhonatic–See This Video and Be Scared, Be Very Scared

Earlier this week, BoomTown chronicled my parenting conundrum concerning the fact that my almost-seven-year-old son hijacks my iPhone at every opportunity to play games and more.

Titled “My iKid iJacked My iPhone: A Geek Parenting Tragedy,” it describes the Apple smartphone’s strange hold over him and how it was freaking me out.

That was until I saw this do-NOT-miss video, sent to me by an Internet entrepreneur whom I know (and who shall remain nameless), about his even younger son’s iPhonaticism.

Or as this apps-crazy toddler puts it rather strongly: iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiyiiiiiPhoooooooooone!

Facebook Apps Are Still for Toddlers: The Visual Proof!

Last year, BoomTown caused a tempest-in-a-Web-teapot by asserting that Facebook apps were, for the most part, inane.

And, while many said the market would develop from the frivolous to more useful–making Facebook a true “utility,” as promised by Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg–that day is not today for the social networking site or its third-part widget makers.

Instead, it’s still Pinocchio at Funland (and we know how that turned out!).
